One of the most successful industries in the Philippines today is the call center industry. Though not yet as large as other industries in the Philippines, many industry experts believe that it will become one of the largest industries in the Philippines because of the pace of its growth, which is said to have massively expanded within only less than a decade.

So what are the reasons why the call center industry of the Philippines had grown so much in no time? According to many industry experts, one major reason why the call center industry have grown such much within less than a decade is because of its outsourcing services which have expanded to allow foreign companies to invest in the Philippines and on the industry.

Growth of the Call Center Industry of the Philippines
The call center industry of the Philippines was first known as plain providers of email response and managing services. Eventually, their services grew to include a number of new call center services such as customer care, technical support, Order taking services, financial services, travel services, reservation services, and many more.


This expansion led to the growth of demand in call center services all over the country, particularly among many small and medium businesses and companies. This demand soon led to the growth of the call center industry in the Philippines, allowing more call center companies and agencies to be established around the country.

However, other than companies and businesses within the country, many call center companies and agencies in the Philippines have also expanded to offer their services to offshore companies. According to many industry experts, it was because of this that the call center industry of the Philippines had grown so much in the market.

Although the industry have gained a lot of success in the Philippines, it grew even further when foreign investors have chosen the Philippines as their main source of outsourced call center services, from their simple Order taking services and customer care, to a more business oriented service such as online business to customer support and online business to business support.


The growth of demand led to further growth of call center companies and agencies in the Philippines. While others are owned by Filipinos, other were founded by foreign investors who are taking advantage on the solid growth of the call center industry as well as the growing demands for its services.

Today, though the industry have gone through a major downturn when Global Recession had hit the market, particularly the US in which most revenues are coming from, the call center industry have steadily picked up its pace in the market, making sure that their services, such as their Order taking services, are still required in the country as well as all over the world.
