Gabrielle Union (Bring It On, Bad Boys II) has joined the cast of ABC's new fall drama, "FlashForward." Union is slated to play the recurring role of Zoey, who is a criminal defense attorney and will have a romantic arc on the show. The show was initally rejected by HBO but later picked up by ABC, and the network is hoping they have another hit on their hands in the vein of "Lost" ,which would be a good thing considering "Lost" is entering its final season and the network needs another ratings giant.

(P.S. DIRECTV customers make sure you have your DVRS set so you don't miss one episode of the new season of "Lost"!) The series is loosely based on a novel of the same name by Robert J. Sawyer and is about a mysterious global event striking mankind in which people are suffering blackouts and are able to glimpse into their future.

It then begs the question, would you try to avoid or change your destiny? Joseph Fiennes, brother of Ralph, headlines the cast as FBI agent Mark Benford, and its up to him to discover the cause behind this worldwide phenomenon. Using the clues in his visions, he will have determine what is going to happen next. Fiennes will be joined by co-stars John Cho, Dominic Monaghan, Courtney B. Vance, and Peyton List. Union has been in many big screen movies, including Cadillac Records with Adrien Brody and Beyonce Knowles, The Perfect Holiday with Queen Latifah, Bad Boys II opposite Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, and many others such as The Honeymooners, She's All That, and Deliver Us From Eva.

On television she has guest starred on such shows as "ER", "Ugly Betty", and "Friends." She is also very passionate about the mistreatment of women, and currently serves as Ambassador for the Susan G. Komen Foundation as well as supporting the Rape Treatment Center at UCLA and the Young Survivor Coalition. Interestingly enough, ones of the series' executive producers is David S. Goyer, who co-wrote Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. "FlashForward" premieres the ABC Television Network. Make sure you set your DISH DVR so you don't miss one second of the action. Hopefully its a hit for ABC!
