 The Big Fresno Fair is held in October every year and is the only unique festival among the Fresno events. This festival is held as a celebration of the local agricultural heritage and features entertainment performances, live horse racing as well as exhibits which highlight the richness of the area in spurring the growth of crops.
 The Fresno Philharmonic is an orchestra which holds a number of Fresno events in form of concerts to showcase the talents of its performers especially the soloists. This group not only holds concerts within Fresno but also in other location of the San Joaquin Valley to enthrall the audiences with their captivating music.
 The Kingsburg Swedish Festival is an annual festival among the Fresno events which was held for the first time in 1966 and has been held every year since then. Since many of the founding families of the city of Fresno hail from Scandinavia it is in their honor that this festival celebrates the Scandinavian heritage by organizing a parade, traditional dancing performances as well as a pancake breakfast.
 The California Country Music Festival is an annual outdoor festival which is held in May and is one of the main musical bonanzas among all the Fresno events. This festival is held over a period of three days and features all varieties of music like country, Western, classics, blue-grass and even the modern versions all of which provide good and complete family entertainment.
 The Tamejavi Festival and Fresno Art Museum Family Day is held in September at the Armenian Heritage Museum and is one of the Fresno events which acknowledge the struggles and contributions of the immigrant population of the Central Valley towards the development of the region. This festival attempts to highlight the traditions and cultures of the different communities living side by side in the region through artistic performances and cultural exchanges. During this festival there is a family day organized at the Fresno Art Museum which organizes a variety of activities for children.
 The Fresno Reel Pride Film Festival was first held in 1990 and what started as an attempt within the four walls of a classroom as one of the local Fresno events soon grew in size to become the sixth oldest festival in the country and the largest of its kind to spread the values of acceptance and cultural diversity in society. This festival is held in the month of September every year and some of the main awards offered at this festival are the best feature film, best documentary and the best short film.
 The Kerman Harvest Festival and Parade is one of the Fresno events which are held in Kerckhoff Park in September and this festival attempts to highlight the tradition and the culture of the rural community by celebrating their harvest season with a parade. The other attractions include a kids pavilion, a carnival, various arts and craft stalls, live entertainment performances and evening dances.
 The Thunder in the Park is held in August every year and is the only one among the Fresno events to focus on a bike rally as well as a bike show. This festival spreads over two days and features live musical performances, fireworks, various food and beverage stalls as well as a beer garden.
 The ClovisFest is held in Old Town Clovis in the month of September and this is one of the main Fresno events because it consists of more than 250 stalls pertaining to arts and crafts, food stalls offering a variety of cuisines, a car show as well as a carnival. In addition this festival hosts a beer garden in which one can sample different varieties of beer from all over the world along with live entertainment performances.
 The Vans Warped Tour is one of the Fresno events which are a combination of music and sports and are therefore held at venues which have a large seating capacity. Having started out as an experimental group this band has grown in stature within a matter of months and is well known for playing a variety of music like techno and hard rock.
