SP (Keonjhar) Ashis Singh the police are taking firm steps to contain mineral theft. All police stations are extra vigilant and have intensified patrolling. Some police officers of Beleipada outpost were transferred for allegedly failing to stop mineral theft, he said. "We are taking steps to control mineral theft by raiding and patrolling different areas," Singh said.
The design of the gyratory crushers and jaw type gyratory crusher is based on more than one hundred years of experience of CCM Fördertechnik in the manufacture of these machines.
Changing mining and processing methods demand, besides new materials and design methods, a continual development of the products. CCM gyratory crushers represent today's state-of-the-art. They are designed for high throughput rates and high crushing ratios at low operating and maintenance costs.
The gyratory crushing principle was the basis of several rudimentary designs, patented between 1860 and 1878, none of which embodied practical mechanical details-at least, not in the light of our present-day knowledge of the art. The, in 1881, Philetus W. Gates was granted a patent on a machine which include in its design all of the essential features of the modern gyratory crusher. The first sale of record antedates the patent by several months, a N° 2 crusher, sold to the Buffalo Cement Co. in 1880.

An interesting sidelight of these early days occurred in 1883 at Meriden, Conn., where a contest was staged between a Blake jaw crusher and a Gates gyratory crusher. Each machine was required to crush 9 cu. Yd. of stone, the feed-size and discharge settings being similar. The Gates crusher finished crusher finished its quota in 20 ½ minutes, which must have been a sad disappointment to the proponent of the Blake machine, who happened to be the challenger.
Fields of Application And Design Characteristics
Gyratories and jaw type gyratory crushers as an integral part of semi-mobile and stationary processing plants are used for primary crushing of bulk materials mainly in ore mines, in the natural rock industry and in the lime- and cement industry.
Owing to the continuous crushing process, these crushers achieve a higher throughput rate compared to that of jaw crushers. In addition to that, they produce a lower portion of oversize particles due to the ring-shaped crushing chamber. In 2010, Keonjhar police arrested 314 mineral crusher including three under National Security Act and registered 244 mineral theft cases. Similarly, it seized 1,169 vehicles and 27 railway rakes used for transporting stolen minerals.
