Are you looking for something to watch this holiday season? If you are, there are a lot of holiday movies to choose from. Here are five great ones:

  1. White Christmas (1954). You can't go wrong with this yuletide classic that stars Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney (George's late aunt). Irving Berlin's terrific songs take center stage in this musical that finds a song-and-dance duo (Crosby, Danny Kaye) headed to Vermont for the holidays along with a comely sister act (Clooney, Vera-Ellen). Love - and snow - is in the air as the two pairs plan to put on a show for a beloved, retired army general (Dean Jagger). This is a romantic, celebratory classic that everyone can enjoy.

  2. Home for the Holidays (2005). When you get an entire family under one roof for Christmas, things can go hilariously awry. That's what happens in The Family Stone, an ensemble comedy that stars (among others) Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel McAdams, Dermot Mulroney, and Diane Keaton. A man (Mulroney) brings his girlfriend (Parker) home to meet his family and propose to her, but things don't quite go as planned when various family members take an instant dislike to her. While love and the Christmas spirit prevail? Watch this and find out.

  3. The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992). Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol is a holiday classic and it gets the full Jim Henson treatment in this whimsical movie. English thespian Michael Caine does a terrific job as the miserly Scrooge and Kermit the Frog plays his long-suffering employee Bob Cratchit. (The adorable Robin the Frog plays Tiny Tim.) Be sure to keep an eye out for various Muppets as you watch this including Gonzo, Fozzie Bear, and Miss Piggy.

  4. Christmas Vacation (1989). It just isn't the holidays unless you watch this comedy classic. Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) is a devoted family man who wants to give his wife (Beverly D'Angelo) and kids (Juliette Lewis, Johnny Galecki) the best Christmas ever. Unfortunately, in trying to do so, he'll have to cope with his uncouth cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid), an enormous tree, job problems, and a house full of rowdy in-laws. Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Doris Roberts co-star in this hilarious movie.

  5. Home Alone (1990). Have you ever wondered what Christmas would be like without your family? Or, as a kid, did you ever wonder what it would be like to have the entire house all to yourself? If so, you need to watch this movie. Young Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) gets left behind when his enormous family takes off to Paris for the holidays. It's all fun and games - at least until it gets closer to the big day and a pair of bandits (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) have an eye on the house. If you don't get enough laughs out of seeing this movie, check out the sequel which has Kevin running loose on the streets of Manhattan.

These are five Christmas movies that will definitely add some cheer to your holiday. Check some (or all) of them out so you can have one of your happiest holidays ever.
