Fill Lines on the Face Now!

Let's face it. In order to fill lines in the face, dermatologists and technicians use a variety of different materials. Although there are dozens of creams on the market that supposedly provide a similar benefit, most of them are ineffective. Here's why.

It's a simple matter of anatomy and physiology. But, it doesn't take a degree to understand. The causes of wrinkles and sagging skin are tiny amounts of molecular damage that occur gradually over time.

Complicating matters is decreased production of collagen and elastin fibers, which are located in the deepest of the skin's layers. There are not many compounds that can penetrate into those layers.

The proteins collagen and elastin certainly cannot. But, the proteins can be injected into the deep layers. The purpose is not to increase the growth of collagen and elastin or to correct any of the molecular damage. It simply "plumps up" the skin's layers, which stretches out wrinkles.

There are ingredients that have been proven to stimulate production of the skin's elastic fibers, as well as increase the cell turn-over rate and correct bits of molecular damage that has occurred over time. Companies selling products that are supposed to fill lines are aware of the effective ingredients. They often advertise that their products include them. But, they don't work, because they do not include enough of the active ingredients.

Water is the primary ingredient in most cosmetics, because it is used for mixing and it moisturizes temporarily. It is the concentration or the amount of the active ingredients that are mixed with that water that account for the effectiveness of a "rub-on" product.

The concentrations used in clinical trials are always high. The amount included in most skincare products is very low. If the company does not include the right concentration, then the results seen in clinical trials cannot be duplicated.

So, that, in a nutshell, is why most rub-on products that claim to fill lines are ineffective. If you do some research, you can find at least one manufacturer that always uses the most effective form of an ingredient and includes a high enough concentration to provide the desired benefits.

If you expect to find a product that works immediately, you might be disappointed. But, there are some cosmetic effects that can be accomplished using special pigments and gelatin-like consistencies. It's a trick of the light, but it does work.

Active keratin is one of the ingredients that provide the cosmetic effect. It will also help to erase or fill lines, because it stimulates the production of new cells and fibers. It actually "heals", which is something that most ingredients are not capable of doing.

Active keratin is an all natural compound, a protein derived from sheep's wool. It is hypoallergenic, non-irritating and can be used on any skin "type", assuming the type is human.

Bottom line, research has shown that the ingredient, in the right concentration, increases the amount of antioxidants in the skin's layers. Antioxidants undo some of the molecular damage that has occurred over time. That effect, alone, might fill lines. It's safe and affordable. So, it's worth a try.
