For the fans of the Transformers, there is complete assurance that they are going to love the sequel of the movie, which is releasing soon. There are a lot of Autobots, many new ones and also others returning from the prequel. And of course, when there are many Autobots, there also have to be new Decepticons.

Sideways is a Decepticon and is famous for being the Chaos Bringer and troublemaker. Sideways' main aim of being the troublemaker is to prevent the formation of alliance between the Decepticons and Autobots. In order to serve this purpose, he keeps up his disguising and deceiving activities.

Sideways who is a rather simple courier tries to avoid combat at all costs and this is what makes him remain in the shadow of the other larger and more powerful as well as skilful Decepticons. He does this so that he can get a chance to escape the notice of the Autobots.

In Revenge of the Fallen, Sideways falls under the category of Deluxe Vehicles and also that of the Fast Action Battlers. In the movie, as we would see, Sideways would come into opposition with Sideswipe, who is one of the impulsive and brave Autobots. He is also going to be having some confrontation with the other Auobots, one of them being Acree, who we can see in the teaser trailers, racing after Sideways.

In Transformers 2, Sideways is a 2006 Audi R8. One of the most exciting moments shown for Sideways is when he crashes through a building into an alley. This happens when he is being followed by Acree and before Sideways transforms and races away from Acree. Besides Acree, the other Autobots that can be seen chasing Sideways are Skids and Mudflap. Although Sideways succeeds in escaping all the three Autobots, Sideswipe does catch him and it is for you to see in the movie what happens after that.

Sideways is recognised with the name Double face in Japan. He made his debut in the Transformers when he arrived on the Earth, which was actually near the Autobots' base. He took the form of an earthly motorcycle and has been changing forms ever since, until it became the Audi R8 for the Revenge of the Fallen.

When Sideways arrived on the Earth initially, he aided the Autobots in their battle against the Decepticons. In spite of the fact that Sideways has in a sense joined the Decepticons, he did not offer any kind of information on himself other than that he was a drifter. However, it was later on that his true colours were revealed when he lured the young Hot Shot, who was an Autobot, towards the Decepticons, hence, betraying the Autobots.

It was later on that Sideways switched his head and actually revealed his Decepticons insignia and admitted to have been on their side all along. In the past, Sideways has been a rather mysterious and manipulating character. In order to find out what he's up to now, make sure that you see the Revenge of the Fallen being released on June 19th, 2009 in the UK.
