Harry Potter, one of the most successful movie series of all time is set to release its new movie Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on July 15. Like its previous five movies, the 6th sequel is much anticipated by eager fans. The Movie series, which are based on the famous novels by J.K Rowling has taken the world by storm.

Since 1997 after the release of the first novel, the books have gained immense popularity, success, and worldwide fame and have set a record as the fastest selling books in history. So far, five of the seven books have been made into movies, and the latest one is now the centre of attention for the Harry Potter fans.

The movie continues as Harry enters the 6th year at Hogwarts and his life becomes much more complicated as he is set to face more challenges and looses his loved ones. The 6th Sequel finds Harry and his friends returning back to Hogwarts. However, after the return of Lord Voldemort, danger lies ahead and Hogwarts might never be the same again.

Despite having read the book, fans still anxiously wait for the new movie, and see the words turning in action on screen. Just as many have expectations, some fears are also associated with the release of the movie. Many fear the new movie might just be a quick recap of the book, as they felt with the previous ones. It is also thought the movie won’t do the book justice. Others can hardly wait for it to come out and feel that it might just be the best of all the Harry Potter movies comparing to the past.

As the plot gets darker and deeper into the lives of other characters such as Snape and Dumbledore, there will be much more action, and adventure and a lot will be revealed. Some people are also of the opinion that the movie won’t be a great fun for non-Potter fans who haven’t read the books, and see no point in watching the movie being completely clueless of the plot.

While others disagree, saying the trailer works just as well for those who haven’t read the books. It is true to some extent, as after the release of the movie trailer, there is much excitement about the film especially over the first glimpse of the much-anticipated character Tom Riddle who gives a dark and creepy look to the movie.

As Harry attends the second-last year of his stay in Hogwarts, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is the most anticipated movie of the whole series. Fans expect more of everything as Harry may or may not return to school next year.

The trailer provides a good look at what is to be expected, but there is much more to be anticipated including the newfound romance between Harry and Ginny Weasely. Ron, who is chased by Lavender Brown, finally makes his couple with Hermione. However, the movie does seem darker, bolder, and more intense like the book.

The New Harry Potter Film is showing at your local cinema from 15th July 2009.
