American sitcom TV shows are loved by audience's world over. Though most of them have closed down their series many years ago, they are still remembered for their realistic portrayal of complex characters in a funny way. There are a few sitcoms that are remembered even today and would definitely feature in anyone's favorite list.

Three cheers for this superbly made American sitcom that ran for nearly 11 successful seasons. A whole lot of characters became instantaneously famous and the most loved one was of course, Dr. Frasier. No one would ever forget the famous jingle ‘Where Everybody'; and those of you who'd love to catch an episode or two can download TV shows from online sites.

Dr. Frasier
One of the longest running sitcom that concluded in 2004 is about Dr. Frasier Crane, who moves back to his hometown Seattle after a broken marriage in Boston. Kelsey Grammer has recently received Television Chairman's Award from the National Association of Broadcasters, which is usually given to individuals who contribute to ‘significant breakthrough in one or more specific art disciplines in television.' And, that's a well deserved award for Grammer who has made Dr.Frasier a household celebrity name for all these years. This TV series is available in DVD's and on internet TV too.


Seinfeld
Seinfeld is an epitome of slapstick comedy with a pinch of satire added. The show has a perfect combination of all comedy ingredients that are wonderfully portrayed by Jerry Seinfeld, Elaine Benes, Cosmo Kramer and George Costanza. It's a show ‘about nothing', where characters become involved in the lives of others to typically disastrous and hilarious results.

Friends
Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, Friends revolves around a group of friends in the area of Manhattan, New York City. The show has been nominated for 63 Primetime Emmy Awards and has recorded high ratings consistently during its show period. Friends made a large cultural impact among American youth during the years it was telecast. Even now, it is being aired in different nations and the sitcom is eagerly awaited to be made into a movie.

The Simpsons and The 70s Show are other popular ones that still stand out among the large numberof TV sitcom shows made every year. Sitcoms make us laugh; but they also make us think in an unusal way. The subtelity is what makes it more enjoyable and hilarious. Online availablity of these TV shows have made it easy for audiences to catch up with all the fun. Make use of them, and have a hilarious evening!
