The Adjustment Bureau
Matt Damon stars as a man who discovers the future has planned for him and realises he wants something else. To get it, he must pursue the only woman he's ever loved across, under and through the streets of modern-day New York. On the brink of winning a seat in the U.S. Senate, ambitious politician David Norris (Damon) meets beautiful contemporary ballet dancer Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt). Once he realises he's falling for her, mysterious men conspire to keep the two apart. Birds Eye View Film Festival 2011
The Birds Eye View film festival celebrates women in film. At this year's festival 'In A Better World' will have its first London screening, and there will be a retrospective of women in horror films entitled 'Bloody Women.' Puckoon
Northern Ireland’s longest established theatre company, Big Telly, has worked closely with Spike Milligan Productions to create this uniquely goonish theatrical event combining comedy anarchy and original music and song. The show’s previous sell-out tour of 2009 had the audiences rolling in the aisles with laughter with its blend of theatrical anarchy, musical wit and impossible plot. It is Ireland, 1922, and the Ulster Boundary Commission has drawn the new border straight through the small town of Puckoon. With the church separated from its own graveyard and drink now 30 per cent cheaper in one corner of the pub, life in the newly divided village will never be the same again. Based on the book by Spike Milligan, this comic masterpiece is an irreverant and hilarious story that takes the mick, celebrates the absurd, and paints a picture of a simple life that borders on the ridiculous. http://bit.ly/i2M8Ph

Sing-a-long-a Grease
Groove along to this 1970s hit, complete with Danny (John Travolta), Sandy (Olivia Newton John), the Pink Ladies and the T Birds. 'Grease' spawned a nostalgic following and created karaoke hits such as 'Summer Nights', 'You're The One That I Want', and 'Greased Lightning'. Memorable moments of this classic film include Danny racing the Scorpions at Thunder Road, the hilarious televised school prom, and the big fun fair at the end of the film. The End of the World
Apparently an asteroid is going to destroy the earth this Saturday, so to celebrate (or not) there will be parties going on at different locations across the UK. Seeing as it is the end of the world, the organisers are letting you choose the music, and all you have to do is email them with your "last request." ENO: Madam Butterfly
This opera is set in a water garden in Japan tells the story of an American naval lieutenant's love for a Japanese woman. Composed by Puccini it is set to a score that marks the characters' doomed love for one another. Butterfly holds out for her American man, and several years later when he returns with a wife on his arm, the tone of the opera changes and tragedy follows. Win tickets: Alfred Hitchcock Walk
Here`s your chance to walk in the footsteps of director Alfred Hitchcock and talk to the journalist who interviewed the director. Sandra Shevey is a 67 year old BFI Associate Tutor who interviewed Alfred Hitchcock in 1972. Shevey lectures about film in London at the National Portrait Gallery, the Barbican Cinema, the V&A and the St. Martin`s reference library where she also curates exhibitions about film. The walk profiles locations from 3 London-based films and showcases original storyboards.

Lighthouse Family
In the late 1990s the Lighthouse Family were unescapable, with a handful of their hits being overplayed on every adult contemporary radio station. One wonders what they were smoking when two of their most popular hits were 'Lifted' and 'High', but nevertheless the sales of their first album 'Ocean Drive' and the titular single became a hit, when they were re-released in 1996. They are an unusual band, fronted by smooth Tunde Baiyewu, and Paul Tucker who lurks in the background not doing much. It's surprising that they gained so much commerical success when Baiyewu's vocals are hardly the easiest sort to sing along with: they are almost as deep as Barry White's. In any case, this will be a blast from the past for most fans, and those who groaned every time their record came on the radio last time, will have to hope they don't break out again. http://bit.ly/fx1PGG
