I would like to tell you how the Dish TV Viewing and home entertainment has changed since I had a Dish Network DVR installed.


Never miss your favorite shows...Like many others you may work a 9-5 job. Arrive home, depending on errands, between 6 and 7. I prepare dinner, eat, and relax usually by 8 pm. By then Dish TV programming is in full swing. Between Dish TV series, Specials like the Grammy Awards or MTV Video Music Awards, Sports Programming, and Movies I am overwhelmed. I have shows that I just can't miss... I have programmed those to be recorded ahead of time. So whether I am out with friends, working late, or just too busy. I will never miss an episode of my preferred Dish TV series.


The pause and rewind option for live Dish TV...This option will allow you the one to control the remote control I feel I have full control over what is being watched and at what pace. You'll love pausing a show periodically to go get a snack then fast-forwarding through a commercial. I rewind at the drop of a hat. If there is too much talking from your spouse whether it is to her cats, or me I like to repeatedly rewind a show to hear the pieces I have missed. I love this option as I sometimes find myself wanting to be able to rewind Talk Radio as I prepare for work in the morning. If an errand needs to be run late night during a game I can always pause and come back where I left off without missing a pitch.


Having it not take an hour to watch 60 minutes...this is true. The average commercial time for a one-hour show is 20 minutes! I have figured this out by fast forwarding through advertisers on shows that were slotted for one hour, but only ended up taking me 40 minutes to watch. This time is crucial to those of us who have limited time to relax while enjoying our Satellite Dish TV Programming. I can now watch three shows in the time it would have taken me to watch 1 or 2.


If you've ever heard the phrase "hundreds of channels and nothing to watch" those days are gone...My Dish Network Dish TV DVR holds at minimum 100 hours of programming. I have about 75 hours of programming that I can now watch at the click of a button. It has become more like maintenance as I scrub my Dish TV DVR Programming for shows I have watched, intend to watch, or just don't have the time to watch. Late night shows I've stayed up to watch in the past can now be recorded allowing me time to both sleep, work, and watch at my leisure. I get about 1-2 hours of much needed rest doing this.


In just the 5 months I have had my Dish TV DVR I can say it is well worth the cost of paying for the service. I will make sure any satellite Dish TV order I make includes a free DVR. I don't mind paying the few extra dollars for the conveniences I have been provided.
