Different dances have different requirements hence the shoes required would also be different for each of them. Tap for example would require shoes that create the right sound effects as the tap sound is more important to a tap dance than the music. In ballet, special shoes called Pointe is used which help the ballerina to twist and turn the foot in the right direction without any difficulty.
