I want to convince you to go green. There are plenty of causes to live sustainably. Existing with the earth is much more than weather alteration, it's about contamination, resource management, eco-system management and leaving a improved world for our children.

1. Effect of clothes
The manufacture of garment requires huge amount of power, labor and fabric, including the use of pesticides for the harvest, colorants and water for coloring, and the labor environment. When you choose to buy organic cotton instead of conservative cotton which is a chemical-dependent crop, you are selecting a choice, that is more ecological by being easy on the soil and groundwater. The ecological impact of your clothes could be minimized by use of ecological detergents, using frosty water in the clothes washer, and line drying everytime possible. Wearing used attire will reduce the number of articles going to the waste dump.

2. In a woman's life she uses more than 4 pounds of cosmetics (men are not far-away)

The skin being the biggest part of the body soaks up to 60% of the articles applied on it, such as shampoos, sunscreens and soaps. Taking into account that we tend to use about 10 different products daily, the quantity adds up to a sizable volume.
Selection of eco-friendly personal care articles implies that products with plant-based elements are being used instead of those having petroleum derivatives; and the later are prohibited from entering the skin.

3. Water is a non-renewable resource
Unadulterated water is the most valuable resource on Earth, and with the impending weather alteration, thus on the availability of sufficient pure water is expected to be a problem. When you are being water conscious, the demand on municipal treatment plants is expected to be minimized and there will be plenty of water for supply. By evading bottled water we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions due to shipping, power for meting-out plastics and the junk discarded bottles going to the waste dump.

4. Ecological articles are human-friendly too
When you are buying green and organic products you are helping local including global craftsmen and communities. Sanctioning for fair trade articles and fair worker practices guarantees that the products are not from sweated worker. Purchasing products manufactured in the US means the production procedures are subject to severe labor laws.

5. To leave a improved world for our children!
I believe this one is self explanatory. We need to be certain our life is sustainable so there are plenty of resources available for our children. In addition, we don't want to pollute the earth in such a way that our atmosphere is harmful to our children's health.
