In this sequel to the popular game, Cinema Tycoon, you are hired by Mr. Pickwick to improve the business of a chain of movie theaters which isn't doing very well. You need to profitably manage the operations of the chain to help save it from bankruptcy. It is upon you to take decisions regarding which movies to be screened, which employees to hire, the price of tickets and food. Each level in the game requires you to earn specified amount money and implementing one thing such as two ticket windows or installing 16 screens. Once the basic operations of the business are functional, you would have to tweak the price or buy upgrades and effectively use marketing tools to help make generous profits and outsmart your competitors. You will get to view your cinema in action and customers will tell you whether they are happy or not with your service, and provide suggestions to improve. Apart from this you get occasional hints from movie mogul Mr. Pickwick and the reports summarize the day's happenings and show comparisons with the pervious day's business. It is an excellent mix of business simulation with strategic gameplay and can definitely be a fun learning experience for kids. Cinema Tycoon 2 definitely deserves a mention and stands out in the genre of Tycoon games.
