The Chinese gender calendar was developed about 700 years ago by a Chinese Scientist. This Chinese conception chart is thought by many in the far east countries to be very accurate, as much as 99%! Regardless whether you are a believer or not, the Chinese Lunar Calendar baby predictor can be a lot of fun to experiment with at your next baby shower or get-together.

Are you already pregnant? The Chinese gender calendar can help you determine if you will be having a baby boy or girl. If you are considering becoming pregnant use the Chinese conception chart to decide the best time to become pregnant depending on whether you want a boy baby or a girl baby.

To use the Chinese gender calendar accurately you just need to know the mother's age at conception and the month of your baby's conception. These dates need to come from the Chinese Lunar Calendar and not the Gregorian Calendar used in most of the rest of the world.

So, how do you figure out these dates on the Chinese Lunar Calendar? Well to start with, the mother-to-be's age will start not at her birth date (as in the west) but at the date of her own conception. So you add 9 months to her age to begin with. The Chinese New Year varies from year to year, falling sometime between January 22 and February 22. So you will need to find out what date was the Chinese New Year on the mother-to-be's birth year (or the year she was conceived in.)

Next you will need to figure the baby's month of conception, here again using the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Keeping in mind the date of the Chinese New Year in the year the baby was conceived. Just remember the date of the New Year varies and is not January 1st as it is in the west.

Once you have figured these two dates accurately you simple find the months on the Chinese conception chart and follow the two columns till they intersect and if the square is blue the conception chart predicts a baby boy, if the square is pink the chart predicts the baby will be a girl.

The Chinese Lunar Calendar baby predictor, or Chinese conception chart can be used on your unborn baby, your children, even adults, or anyone for that matter.

In your seventh or eighth month you can of course have an ultrasound and know for sure (almost) the gender of the baby you're carrying, but I think using the Chinese gender calendar is a loads more fun:o).

So put the Chinese conception chart to use (now that you know how to use it) at your next baby shower, or get-together, right or wrong, you can have a lot of fun with it! Remember though I offer it for entertainment purposes only!
