Let me tell you a quick story about cheap skin care products. One day as I'm visiting a friend waiting for her to get ready as we're about to go out for lunch she starts complaining to me about her skin being so sensitive. So, with me being involved in the beauty industry I took a look at some of the cheap skin products she's been using.

Why Are Some Skin Care Products So Cheap?

There is a reason that cheap skin care products are as low priced as they are. It's because the company that produced them used only the lowest quality ingredients they could find. The biggest concern they probably had was making it smell good. Fragrances can contain harmful ingredients.

Most of the cheap skin care products are found at your local department store. In many cases, the products found in retail outlets are merely copies of the better products found in specialty shops or online. Read the label and you may find that the ingredients are listed as substitutes for the original more effective ingredients. This is how they can be sold for much less than the original products.

What your research will tell you is that the most expensive brands of skin care products are not always of the best quality. They can be full of cheap chemicals that cause harm to your body, especially with long term use. Side effects can be skin reactions, rashes, dryness and cancer to name a few. I should add here that that cheap skin care products can be harmful also containing loads of cheap harmful chemicals.

When you purchase inexpensive products are products of high quality that you can buy for a practical or sensible amount of money or at a reduced price, than is normally charged for such items. Buying products cheap is often products which are formulated with inferior ingredients, rather than purchasing a product of quality that is more desirable.

Then of course they can afford to keep the price high, because they're paying a lot for the marketing so everyone knows their name, so they can price their products higher because - everyone knows their name. And everyone assumed the products must be good because - everyone knows their name.

Parabens, a group of chemicals commonly used in cheap skin products, have been linked in studies to breast cancer in women. Samples of the tumors that were taken from unrelated cases turned up a significant amount of parabens on the inside of each of the women's cancerous tissue.

Furthermore, it is common to find cheap skin care products that are heavily fragranced. Artificial fragrances are dangerous because they are made up of a vast number of toxic chemicals. Companies add these fragrances to cheap products in order to cover up their bad smell due to low quality. The word "fragrance" can refer to up to 4,000 toxic chemical ingredients! Your best bet is to opt for natural products that are fragrance free.

Mineral oils are used in almost every cheap skin care product. However, these oils prevent your skin from breathing, making it impossible for your skin to eliminate harmful toxins in your body. I can't believe that these ingredients are even allowed in any so-called "skin care product.
