If you have bought a brand new expensive phone that you simply adore, you need to know how to maintain it. You have already paid a hefty sum on your mobile, thus it makes sense care for your mobile. Here are some guidance tips that will ensure a long life to you mobile and its battery.

1.Cover it up
Mobile phones are delicate and prone to scratches and dust. You need to offer them adequate protection by keeping them inside a mobile cover or store them in a leather cover. You could also use a plastic case to store the mobile; this will prevent it from breaking even if it accidentally falls down. This way your mobile stays brand new when you take it out.

2.Replace the panel
If you are worried something might happen to the original panel, you can buy a duplicate. This way your original will look great even after a year.

3.Protect from harsh weather
Avoid exposing your mobile to intense heat or cold. The color will fade easily and it will look worn out. Don't forget to keep it away from water at all costs; this will surely ruin your mobile leading to expensive repairs.


4.Film cover
If your phone has a touch screen make sure the screen is well protected. Try to use only clean hands on the touch screen. Using a specially designed cling cover will prevent smudging and scratching on the delicate surface.

5.Anti - virus
If you have a fancy cell phone such as a Blackberry or an iPhone, you need to be extra careful. Your cell phone might come in contact with harmful viruses while you browse the Internet. Make sure you install some kind of an anti-virus to safeguard your mobile under such circumstances.

6.Be careful
Don't play around with you cell phone, keep it in your pocket or store it in your purse. The more carelessly you handle your cell phone, the more the chances are of you damaging or breaking it.

7.Clean
Remember to clean your cell phone, at least once in two weeks. Remove the panel and use a soft and dry cloth to get rid of the dust that is sure to have accumulated within the phone. You can also use a small and soft brush to wipe away the dust, but make sure no hair from the brush remains inside the phone. You can also use an anti-bacterial wipe to wipe down the keypad, to make sure nothing is clogging the keypad.


8.Overuse
As far as possible, use the mobile for minimal purposes. Avoid playing games, messaging excessively, etc. This will prolong the life of your mobile.

Batteries don't last longer than a few days, and no matter how well you care for them one day they will eventually die. But if you want to lengthen the life of your batteries and not keep replacing them often, here are a few tips to follow.

1.Brightness
You can lower the brightness of your screen and the backlight; this will make a huge difference. Make sure you don't lower it too much otherwise you will not be able to see anything in the dark.

2.Limit
Limit your conversations to as little as possible. Talking less will automatically mean a longer life for your battery. If you have a home phone try using that instead of your mobile after you reach home.

3.Turn off
If you know you are not going to use your cell phone in the night, it is best to switch it off. You can conserve a lot of power doing this.

4.Forego the extras
Avoid playing games, listening to music, browsing the Internet incessantly. Taking pictures takes up a lot of power, especially if you have the flash on. Bluetooth, GPS, infrared, WIFI and vibrating mode can eat up the charge as well.

5.Charging
Always charge the cell phone as per rules, do not over or under charge. If yours is a new mobile and a new battery, carefully go through the instructions before you charge the battery. Also try to keep the battery at room temperature, as over charging can cause the battery to heat up, and shorten its life.

6.Clean
When you clean your mobile, don't forget the battery. Remove any dust that might have accumulated on the surface by rubbing a cotton swab dipped in alcohol; this will maximize the efficiency of energy transfer.
