A big question has grown in our hearts – is satellite TV providers worthy of investing our hard earned money? Reason is obvious, for all the goof ups and scams created by DirecTV. People are in a dilemma as to whether to subscribe in different packages or not? For satellite TV providers like Directv are using malpractices to drain money from customers. They are using every unethical mean to rob consumers and deceive them. Even after enjoying great popularity and huge subscriber base, it is shocking that satellite TV providers found reasons to indulge in such scams. Consumers have gradually lost faith in providers like DirecTV, since the ultimate sufferers are subscribers.

In recent times, there is no better option than satellite TV when you look out to offer your family the best digital entertainment at home. Surely with either DISH Network or DirecTV connections at home, you will not be able to say – there’s nothing on TV!! Because every time you switch on television, you will have something to watch on and get best entertainment. Moreover, the deals that are sometimes offered by these providers are too good to be true! The promotional offers are simply irresistible. You just can’t help and tend to fall in the trap. What is the ultimate result? You are fooled by satellite TV providers and cheated. But can you provide amusement to families at the cost of misusing your money! Certainly not! You cannot just allow these satellite TV providers to take undue advantage of your trust and conviction.

Perhaps several billing issues, equipment frauds, early termination fee and several other advertisement scams have deterred people in investing satellite TV providers of late. In fact, it is even true, post so much of controversies and complaints, who would want to sign up with any of the satellite TV providers in America? To bring a little relief, Better Business Bureau and Attorney Generals have ordered DirecTV to alter their business policies, pay a fine of $13.25 million and restitute consumers in full. But still, the company doesn’t seem to budge, for it has not accepted its wrong doings, as is evident from one of its statements to a news agency; although it has agreed to the orders.

If you think you are a victim of DirecTV, then you will certainly receive compensation from the company. For this you will have to file a suit with the Attorney General of your state and claim refund immediately within Jun 9, 2011. You can ring them at 916.322.3360, or visit their official website at www.ag.ca.gov/consumers/general.php. However, for non-Californians, you will have to get in touch with Attorney General in your state and claim restitution.

Still another question that looms in mind is whether this will serve as a lesson for companies who are still on the unfair business tracks or others who are thinking to swindle people? Will companies realize that people are their ultimate assets and should be well treated? Well, these questions remain unanswered, for we do not know what is in store for us in future.
