New British Virgin Islands Scuba Diving Guide Book makes Giant Step

Sail Caribbean is pleased to mention the recently published second edition of "The Guide to Diving and Snorkeling in the British Virgin Islands", an remarkably comprehensive guide for anyone organizing the ultimate underwater getaway. Written by Jeff Williams and illustrated by Ria O'Hagen, both multi-talented dive specialists in the BVI, this manual is a treasure trove of information and facts gathered during hundreds of dives throughout the British Virgin Islands.

A Beneficial "Planning Tool" for Scuba Diving
Whether making vacation plans for your family, looking forward to a teen summer scuba camp experience, selecting your next dive or snorkeling site, or getting ready to dive in to the BVI's crystal clear waters, this manual is a excellent learning resource. The book sections the British Virgin Islands into four groupings. Each group has a listing of sites and includes details on the type of site, depth, activities, and skill level required. Once an attraction that peaks the reader's interest is found, this book provides in-depth site descriptions, dive briefings, and information on marine life in the area. Clear and detailed site maps accompany every location.

Find Your Underwater Adventure
Part of the joy of vacationing (even underwater) is seeing and experiencing new things, and visiting sites not available anywhere else in the world. The BVI has over 60 exciting Caribbean dive destinations (http://www.sailcaribbean.com/activities/teen-scuba-diving/diving-destinations/): shipwrecks, walls, reefs, pinnacles, and ledges all thriving with vibrant marine species. Local dive providers can take you to any of these venues and point out the highlights so you don't miss a thing. The book includes a listing of companies, their locations, websites and contact information. "The Guide to Diving and Snorkeling in the British Virgin Islands" helps divers take informed giant strides into waters with 100ft visibility for outstanding scuba adventures. The publication is available at the Sail Caribbean Divers dive center on Tortola, multiple dive shops throughout the BVI, or it can be purchased online (http://www.diveguidebvi.com ).

About the Author and Artist - In 1973, Jeff Williams became a scuba diver exploring quarries in Pennsylvania. The first time he experienced visibility of more than 20ft, he was in Martinique and became hooked on tropical diving. Jeff traveled to the BVI in 1986 for the first time. He became a PADI (http:www.padi.com) Instructor in 1989. He and his wife, Raine, currently live, dive and sail in the BVI. Jeff has been part of the Sail Caribbean Divers (http://www.sailcaribbeandivers.com) team of professional dive instructors, and has worked with their teen scuba camps. Ria O'Hagen, British artist and PADI Divemaster with Sail Caribbean Divers, created the Guide's map artwork. She's paints enthusiastically whenever the opportunity arises.
