Cellulite can be found on almost every body. It comes more frequently with age, as diet and exercise routines start to wane.

Cellulite is the fatty deposits that sit beneath the skin. The skin surrounding these deposits becomes sunken, creating the dimpled rivets known as cellulite. While it is possible to avoid getting these ripples with strict diet and exercise, once it occurs, the best work out in the world doesn't seem to have an effect.

So, what can you do about uneven and dimpled skin?

Laser beam technology can apply a gentle laser to the fat deposits, breaking them down. This relieves the rivets and dimples in the skin, leaving it smooth. It's not, however, a one time process.

The use of lasers is a slow procedure that is done in small doses. It doesn't hurt, but it does require more than one application. Lasers are quite gentle, and aside from a tingling or snapping sensation, you hardly notice it's there.

Imagine you had a lump of hard butter in a plastic bag. You could prod it with a hot stick repeatedly to break it down. The outermost portion of the lump of butter would break down first from the pressure. You would have to continue to break down each layer of the lump until it was completely smooth. Laser treatments work under the same concept, so it takes several sessions to break down the entire fat deposit creating the cellulite. Once the fat is broken down, your system will naturally flush it away.

Laser cellulite removal has shown dramatic and extremely satisfying results. However, cellulite can reform if you don't take proper care to prevent it. Maintaining proper eating habits, including the avoidance of sugary and fatty foods, will help. Exercise is also a key component in stopping the formation of fatty deposits.

As with any procedure, talk to a trained professional about the risks involved, possible side effects and a good after care regiment. Once your satisfied that laser treatment is right for you, it's time to say good bye once and for all to those fatty cellulite lumps.
