Awesome Shows Of “Opera” And “Mamma Mia

In the last ten years or so the Singaporean audiences have been treated regularly to several revivals of both the Broadway and the West End musicals such as the likes of the "Phantom of the Opera" and "Mamma Mia." With these awesome shows it seems as if their appetite for the Western art is continuously on the rise. This has been an encouragement for the few local theater troupes for the production of their own versions.
There is a latest Chinese language version of the popular musical titled Mamma Mia! that revolves around the popular music group Abba. It will make its debut in China in the month of June in the year 2011. Mamma Mia's China version is going to be the thirteenth foreign language production of the respective musical. It will also mark the first time in history that some hit musical production is going to be presented in the Chinese language in China itself.
The respective musical production is going to start its casting process in the latter months fo the current year. In fact the auditions will be beginning in the month of August, and will also take place in November and January.

For those of you who are interested in auditioning they will be able to do so via submitting applications on the official website for the respective musical. These auditions are going to be open to all Chinese speaking contenders all across the globe. Not only this but this website is also going to serve as a mechanism for the selection of the Chinese creative team that will be working on Mamma Mia's production.
Though it had been difficult but the creators of "Mamma Mia!" have woven together an entire bunch of hit ABBA songs and have succeeded in creating what can be called an enjoyable and albeit a mindless romp. This weekend's romantic musical is titled Letters to Juliet that stars the popular actors Amanda Seyfried (who has also starred in Dear John and Mamma Mia!) and Vanessa Redgrave in the lead roles. The later has a huge fan following. The musical comes at the third place whereas the comedy, Just Wright, along with the Queen Latifah, have opened in numerous cinemas.
