The question many people want to find an answer to is the following: are parabens bad? That may be a common question to skin care products enthusiast all over the world.

I know this can be confusing because there are some sources telling us that these ingredients can cause harmful damages. However, these theories have not been proven yet. That’s why it is really hard to say if this ingredient can really cause damages.

Parabens have been used in skincare products and even some food products as a preservative. The thought was until recently that they produced safe and effective results. However, researchers have found in recent years that parabens can cause tumor growth specifically on the breasts. They can also have chemical reactions with the body’s natural hormones like estrogen.

The study was based on the effects of parabens on some animals. But it hasn’t been proven if parabens can cause the same harmful effects on humans. But since parabens have been shown to mimic estrogen, and we know that externally produced estrogen in humans is linked to breast cancer.

It is not really clear to all scientists that’s why many people are still asking, are parabens bad. We don’t know yet but I am sure we will confirm the effects in the near future. For now, it is best to be safe and avoid using products that contain these in case they are deemed dangerous.

I don’t know about you, but when my health is at risk, I choose to be extra careful. If something is a suspected danger I just leave it alone. I am not one who needs to play with fire.

Instead of using skincare products with paraben, you can use a natural product, which is a better alternative. Vitamin E is a much safer substance and will nourish the skin while it preserves the product.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that will fight the free radicals caused by our environment. It reduces the appearances of wrinkles and fine lines. If you have a concern about age spots, it will also help to prevent them.

So if you are still asking, “Are parabens bad?” Here’s what I have to tell you. Whether they are bad or not, it is still best to stick on what is known to be safe and really effective. And that is to use products with natural ingredients. Leave the question are parabans bad, to the scientist to solve and just choose products that have been proven healthy and harmless.
