The new 5330 Red is the latest in the impressive range of XpressMusic handsets from Nokia. It is an elegant looking phone primarily aimed at music lovers but will be equally as appealing to social networking fans thanks to its mobile access to sites such as MySpace, Facebook and Ovi. The handset is a stylish sliding design and the red and black finish is truly eye catching.

The Nokia 5330 Red is pretty standard in terms of its physical dimensions. Weighing 113g and measuring 101.2 x 48.5 x 14mm, it fit comfortably into your pocket or the palm of your hand. A 2.4" TFT screen capable of displaying an impressive 16 million colours takes up the bulk of the front of the handset, with four buttons and a 5 way navigational pad situated neatly below. When you slide the screen upwards a standard 12 button numeric keypad is revealed. Perhaps the design is the most striking aspect of this phone, the red and black colours work well together, and as with the majority of Nokia designs, everything looks neat and well considered.

On the rear of the 5330 Red you will find the 3.15 mega pixel camera. Not as high in resolution as some of its counterparts, the camera still performs to a satisfactory standard for general photography. Complete with a 4 x zoom facility , the phone also incorporates an LED flash, thus improving picture quality in low light conditions. The built in memory of this phone is 70MB, but this is expandable to 16GB by utilising the MicroSD card slot. Nokia have marketed the 5330 Red as a phone for music lovers, and the built in media player does transform the handset into a high quality portable music player. Capable of handling a range of file formats including WMA, WAV, MIDI and MP3, the unit also has dedicated music keys located on the side which make navigation easy. An RDS FM radio and a 3.5mm stereo jack also feature. Being a Nokia music phone, the impressive Nokia Music Store has thousands of tracks available for download.

A wide range of web browsing technology is available on the 5330 Red, including WAP, WML & HTTL, and ensuring a fast internet connection GPRS, EDGE and TCP/IP are also supported. The supplied lithium ion battery boasts an impressive 389 hours of standby time and up to 7h 45 minutes of talk time. Interaction with other devices is also covered by the inclusion of Bluetooth, micro USB, MMS and e mail facilities.

The gorgeous looking Nokia 5330 Red is immediately attractive to potential customers due to its styling and music facilities. And whilst not immediately appealing to the hardcore smartphone fans, the device still packs enough of a punch for the average user and should further strengthen Nokias position in the marketplace.
The Nokia 5330 Red and the HTC Magic Black are coming soon.
