Since dry skin can be sensitive to a soapy cleanser, try using oil instead. Non-comedogenic oils, such as castor oil and olive oil, are a great way to clean your face without clogging your pores. Another benefit is that these oils won't dry out your skin during the cleansing process.

Application is simple. Apply and massage 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil to your face. Remove it with a warm, moist washcloth. You can also place a hot, moist towel on your face for a few minutes before removing the oil.

When using natural treatments, opt for tea tree oil instead of benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide can be effective for treating acne, but it can be too harsh for dry skin. Any products used to treat your face should be gentle enough to keep from irritating the skin.

To use this type of natural acne remedy, soak a cotton ball with water and add three to four drops of tea tree oil. Apply the diluted mix to the area of skin you'd like to treat. If your skin can withstand it, you can also use tea tree oil in its undiluted form.

Finish off by applying your moisturizer. You can balance out the natural oils in your skin by applying the right amount of moisturizing cream to your skin. As a matter of fact, this can actually help reduce the frequency of acne breakouts. If you need to reapply moisturizer during the day, feel free to do so.

If your choice of skin care products is more inclined towards using traditional products and not natural acne solutions, make sure to do a patch test before applying a new product all over your face. You can begin by using the product once a day or every other day. Once you can be sure that your skin is okay with the product, you can increase the frequency of use.

Always keep in mind that an inadequate acne treatment can lead to acne scars. So, choose your skin care routine and acne products with care.
