According to Sprint, the biggest selling point with the HTC EVO 4G is the 4G data connection. The htc evo phone is capable of download speeds 10 times faster than what you would get with the old 3G alternative.

But, this is not the only best feature. In fact, the HTC EVO 4G specs reads like a wish list for anyone who has owned a touchscreen smartphone.

The EVO phone has a 4.3-inch screen, which is is perfect for watching video on the go. It is also packed full of powerful mobile communication and multimedia features. The HTC EVO 4G has a large, vibrant 4.3 inch display as well as a built-in kickstand for easy viewing of videos--from Sprint TV programming to HD movies captured on the 8-megapixel auto-focus camera.

It's powered by a extremely fast 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Google's Android 2.1 operating system. With integrated Google technology, the HTC EVO 4G brings one-touch access to the popular Google mobile services millions use every day, including Google Search by Voice, YouTube, and Picasa. The HTC EVO 4G also provides easy access to both personal and corporate email, calendars, and contacts supported by Exchange Server and Gmail.

The forward-facing 8 megapixel camera makes it easy to make video calls using the two-way voice and video service from Qik. With the built-in mobile hotspot functionality, the HTC EVO 4G allows up to eight Wi-Fi-enabled devices--including laptop, camera, music player, video player and any other Wi-Fi-enabled device--to enjoy the benefits of 4G speeds on the go.

Additional features include music downloads from the Amazon MP3 Store, microSD memory expansion (8 GB card included; optional 32 GB cards supported), Adobe Flash support, HDMI audio/video output, and up to 6 hours of battery life (learn more about power management on the HTC EVO 4G).

Here are just some of the HTC EVO specs:

The one issues with the HTC EVO is battery life. The phone will lose a third of its battery sitting overnight with the GPS, WiFi, and 4G turned off. It's really that bad. Even with Advanced Task Killer set to aggressive and auto killing apps every hour, the most one will get out of the phone is about ten hours. The only solution to this problem is to plug in the phone whenever possible. You may want to consider getting one of those instant charge battery packs. it should help.

Conclusion, the HTC EVO 4G is a nice looking phone. It has all of the features and functionality one could ever want, such as; the HTC sense support and accelerometer, 1 GHz snapdragon processor, 512 MB RAM, 1GB of memory expandable to 32GB, and 8 MP main camera with 720 p HD video recording, front 1.3 MP camera for video calling, HDMI output, video sharing and live upload to online web servicies and so much more. But, it does have one major downside to and that is the battery life. But, as stated above, there are solutions to this problem.

Overall, I think the HTC EVO 4G phone is a good buy and will give you so much more in return for your money.
