Samsung have released their popular "Jet" in an impressive white finish, meaning this phone is now not only a powerful smartphone but also a fashion statement as well.

Working on a version of the reliable and well received Symbian operating system, the Samsung Jet White is very user friendly. The name Jet is also very apt considering the speen in which the handset navigates between apps and functions. Being a Samsung handset means the Jet works on their TouchWiz user interface. This system divides the homescreen up into 3 separate screens, which you change by swiping your finger across the screen. It is a nice feature which enables you to customise the menus. For example one screen could be you "business" screen featuring Calender, Clock etc. The second could be your personal incorporating social networking apps and the third a media screen with shortcuts to audio and video files. All backed up by a 800Mhz processor this whole operation is seamless. Another new idea is gesture-based unlocking which means when the phone is locked, you can draw a letter of your pre determined choice on the screen to unlock it. This same letter can also be used to act as a speed-dial number so that, once you enter the letter, the phone rings one of your contacts.

The Samsung Jet White incorporates a high end 5 million pixel camera. Not only is this a fairly high end resolution, but it is also backed up by some handy features which improve the results even further. Autofocus keeps picture crisp and Face and Smile detection attempts to focus on the faces within a shot. If your wanting to snap indoors or at a party then the inclusion of a dual LED flash will be of benefit to you. A secondary camera is also included to allow you to make video calls. Speaking of video, the Jet can also capture video footage and do so at a very impressive 30 frames per second.

One of the standout features of the Jet White is its hugely impressive 3.1" AMOLED screen. Thanks to its 480 x 800 resolution and capability of displaying 16 million colours the screen is sharp and crisp, the one downside however is the Resistive nature of this touchscreen rather than Samsung adopting the more responsive capacitive technology. An accelerometer chip is built in meaning the handset has an auto rotate facility that works well. For example when vertical the screen will display a numeric keypad but turn it 90 degrees to a landscape position and the keypad is now of a QWERTY variety.

If you are looking for a well priced phone which not only looks good but also has an array of functions, the the Samsung Jet White is the handset for you. Its quality screen and camera are a huge plus, and in terms of the operation the overall speed is bound to win the Jet many fans.
