2009 China Sport Show and Sport Tourism Expo

2009 China Sport Tourism Expo and China Winter Sport Show will take place from December 11th to 13th, 2009 in Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang Province, Northeastern China.

Themed on "Ice and Snow, Health, Leisure", the two shows will be staged together in Harbin International Conference, Exhibition and Sports Center, with 1,200 booths. The exhibition will be divided into two sections: sporting goods section and sports tourism section. Noted sporting goods makers, winter sports facilities suppliers, ski resorts and travel agencies at home and abroad have been invited to participate the expos; a large number of dealers, purchasers and experts will be present, more than 5000 as estimated.

During the expos, a series of activities have been scheduled. For instance, Sports and Tourism Forum and National Fitness Development Forum are on the agenda; Winter Motor Relay, Ice Hockey Invitation Match and enjoyable fitness activities have also been planned for tourists' enjoying and experiencing.


Heilongjiang Province, China's most northern province, has a longer winter time due to the unique geographical advantages. And its winter features are also the most distinctive in China. It is a ideal place for ski lovers. Statistics hold that there are more than 70 ski resorts in the region, which boast immense market for winter sporting goods. 2009 Winter Universiade had been successfully held in Harbin and had laid a firm foundation for the success of the China Sport Show.
