10 Great Things About The Iphone 4

If you haven't heard already, the long awaited iPhone 4 has recently been released and is packed with new surprises. There are over 100 new features in the iPhone 4 but i will only be talking about 10 of the very best.

1. Retina Display - If you thought the the resolution of the old iPhone was good, guess what? Its got even better. This time apple was able to pack 4 times the amount of pixels into the phone compared to the previous versions. What does this mean? It means you already going to get much smoother text, graphics and continuous at any size.

2. HD video recording - One thing i didn't expect was improved camera quality, but i was even more surprised when i found out it can now record in HD! The HD recording is brilliant and comes along with even more features: tap to focus, self portrait, share video via MMS, and even edit your stunning shot with the Imovie app. This is going to be great for youtubers, families, or anyone who wants to create a stunning video.

3. Facetime - This was a huge change in the iPhone 4 and in the mobile industry. People have been dreaming about video calling for a long time and it is now been made possible. By using the new front facing camera (and the back camera as well) you can video chat to any other iPhone 4 around the globe using wifi and flick between both cameras.

4. Multitasking - What does this mean exactly? Well two main things infact: you can now switch between apps whilst they are running and, you can now group your apps into folders. Ok so not something massive but this will defiantly be something very useful for all iPhone users.

5. Ibooks - On the Ipad, now the iPhone. Ibooks now gives you the power to have a complete library right in your very own pocket. With the iPhone 4's new Retina Display every single paged is rendered beautifully with vibrant colours and sharp text. Are you an Ipad user? Well you will be glad to know that Ibooks will now cleverly syncs itself with your Ipad so you should have no worries about purchasing the same book again.

6. Weight and Thickness - Unbelievably the iPhone 4 has become the thinnest smart phone yet making it much more streamline even though it is packed with all these new features. The iPhone 4 is slightly heavier than before but many have said it gives it a more secure fell about it, and is better to hold.

7. Gyro + Accelerometer- The iPhone 4 now includes a built-in three-axis gyroscope. Paired with the Accelerometer "it makes iPhone 4 capable of advanced motion sensing such as user acceleration, full 3D attitude, and rotation rate". So in more basic terms you are going to get a much better gaming experience and we should soon see app designers taking full advantage of this new feature.

8. Personalised Background - At Last! Something that should of been implemented in the iPhone 3g or 3gs but, it is finally available in the iPhone 4. So you will now be able to personalise your background to your hearts desire, either by choosing from a variety that came with your iPhone or a personal picture of yours.

9. Battery Life - Another improved feature is the longer battery life that the iPhone 4 has. This will allow you to do things such as listening to music, 3g browsing, video playback and more. The iPhone 4 does have some battery times the same as the iPhone 3gs but compared to the iPhone 3g there are some significant differences.

10. A4 Processor - Apple engineers have have now made a chip that is remarkably more powerful so it can perform more complex jobs whilst maximising the battery life to its best.

Overall i would say the iPhone 4 is defiantly lived up to its expectations and will continue to set high standards. Compared to the 3gs it does have big differences but compare this to the iPhone 3g and you will see how far this iPhone has come, implementing features from the 3gs and bringing some cool new features of its own.
