Free Psychics Latest Media References to Free Psychics Part 1

If you are wondering if free psychics are becoming more and more popular in the United States, then consider some recent references to psychics in the media. The first one is found on t.v., in a commercial. How many of you are tired of seeing those commercials for Progressive dot com, the auto insurance company? While they do not mention free psychics per se, the commercial in question does include a reference to psychic power.

I wonder how they casted for the main girl in those commercials. You know, how many other women they auditioned and how they finally chose the one that stars in the commercials. The thing is, she is not really annoying, but you can see by looking at her and from how she has to act, the potential is there for her to be really annoying. It is like she is walking that fine line between quirky and obnoxious. She is not attractive or sexy, but nor is she repugnant by any means. The only reason she is starting to get annoying is simply because they keep making so many of the stupid commercials and play them non-stop. I wish free psychics would tell me how many more commercials they are going to make and which will be the funniest.

In any case, the metaphor they use is a clever one: imagine if you purchased auto insurance like you shop for electronics or groceries--by walking into a store. What would the website experience be like if it were converted to a brick and mortar building? Apparently, for progressive, it would be very white and very clean. And there would be a clever, perky customer service girl there to banter with.

Out of all their commercials, one of the more funny ones is the one where the guy shopper completes one of her sentences. She turns to him amazed and exclaims, "Wow. You're psychic." Then she asks, "What am I thinking about right now?" He says, "Tacos." She says in a very dramatic manner, "Yes!" Makes me wonder what free psychics think of this commercial.
