Getting your child ready for "school time" is a milestone for your promising toddler. Much as we want him to linger as a baby, reality could drop in pretty tough on our faces that our babies are fastly becoming toddlers; and not long enough, he will need to go to school. As parents, it is our job and liability to mold our children physically, emotionally, and mentally so that they can simply cope up with the fear of having to go to school really soon.



Below are a some suggestions to aid you get by with preparing your child for a new milestone in his toddler life:



* Prepare him psychologically and emotionally by softly saying that in time he will need to go to school. Elucidate to him the beneficial credits of having to go to school so that he will get thrilled and stun by the thoughts of having fun at his school.



* Give him a school tour earlier before the school begins. This will widen his attention to basically focus on the school idea, and what he is yet to discover there. Bringing him at school can aid him in his adjustment to be in a new-found environment with diverse setting.

* Work hand in hand with your child's teachers and other school staff to keep track of your child's progress in terms of his learning abilities and social behaviours.



* Establish a consistent schedule for study period for your child to get used to the "load" in his school.



* Do comprehension enhancement activities since learning is the main objective of having to go to school.



* Practice learning and having fun at the same time, since these are the main objectives of going to school. Teach your child what he needs to know in this stage of his learning life, so that he will be able to easily catch up with the school's educational materials and teaching methods.



Having your child get ready for "school time" entails a lot of hardwork and patience on our side. But with our consistent approach to learning, he will eventually see the good side and in the long run, he will surely get comfortable with his new environment.
