See Dexter Morgan .By daylight he's a blood splatter pattern expert for the Miami Underground police department. But by night - he takes on an entirely different individual : serial killer. But Dexter isn't your typical serial killer as he only kills people who fit a very prolific and straight "moral code" taught to him by his late father Harry, and prepared very thoroughly throughout each killing. While dealing with his daily actions and his boss, Sgt. Doakes, the one man who may or may not know the truth about his after-hours actions, he is given a well-disposed message by a guy referred to only as "The Ice Truck Killer" - a law-breaking scene where there is no blood. This shocking discovery turns Dexter's world completely upside down. The Ice Truck Killer wants Dexter to play his game and Dexter is very eager to take on this cat-and-mouse chase throughout Miami.
During the daytime, Dexter Morgan is a jovial employee in the Miami Metropolitan Police Department's crime lab, but his meticulously crafted living masks his true nature. In realism Dexter is a disciplined and murderous psychopath (a self-admitted "monster"), and he slakes his blood lust at nighttime by carefully killing the serial killers he tracks down during the day.
