The HTC Touch2 is one of the HTC ranges of mobile phones that have set the mobile phone market alight. Its all-encompassing functionality and connectivity as well as practical usability have defined many current versions of mobile phone. The handset utilises the QUALCOMM MSM 7225 528 MHz processor as the backbone of its multitasking capabilities. In addition it utilises Microsoft Windows mobile 6.5 professional as its operating system. Both of these tried and tested elements provide a stable and effective workhorse.


The HTC Touch2 comes with a 2.8 inch TFT resistive touch screen display which operates at 240 x 320 pixels as its screen resolution as well as having the ability to display 65,000 colours and their variants. TouchFLO finger swipe navigation is included within the package and is particularly responsive and effective when navigating around the functionality. In addition a touch sensitive zoom bar is provided as a means of enhancing and enlarging imagery within the display screen.


Connectivity is provided by a myriad of multiple options which include internet access through the HSDPA and Wi Fi connections, which provides access at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps as well as the ability to access nationally available hotspots. GPRS, EDGE, blue tooth and miniUSB are also included which offers seamless file sharing and the ability to download and synchronise with a PC. Satellite navigation is provided by the GPS function which also comes with A-GPS support


A 3.15 mega pixel camera is provided which operates at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and offers effective image capture. Video recording, as an alternative to static imagery, is provided at CIF quality and at 30 frames per second. The handset also comes with an MP3/MP4 player, pocket office, organiser and a voice memo facility. The phone comes with an internal memory of 256 MB of RAM as well as 512 MB of ROM which can be significantly expanded upon by utilising the microSD slot which is built into the unit.


The HTC Touch 2 is compact in size being only 104 mm x 55 mm wide and 12 mm thick. It is available in black, brown and silver and provides a multitude of useful and endearing functionality whilst ensuring that accessibility of the functions is made as user-friendly as possible.
