Maintain Physical Health from Yoga

Yoga is flexible enough to accommodate everyone at whatever level you feel comfortable. At Levitate, the philosophy of yoga is not a restrictive way of life, but a choice made by each individual. You can meditate for a minute or an hour, practice as rigorously as you wish student may choose to receive a mantra, a word/sound or phrase used to center the mind towards stillness. Originally Yoga was introduced in this country as a complete science and philosophy covering the whole spectrum, body, mind, emotions and spirit.

Yoga has become more body fitness, body oriented, and the true reason for practicing yoga has been forgotten. Yoga was a way to prepare the body to sit still, because ultimately union with the Center of Consciousness is the goal, but it has become an end in itself. There is no peace when consciousness is centered in the thoughts. Yoga is a science of Life aiming to intelligence and the higher self, to enhance and maintain physical health.

Yoga has become synonymous with stress reduction/relaxation and this is ok, but there is so much more. it will always be there. So you can relax for a few minutes and with practice for a little longer. But the tension always comes back.
