The android phone with a difference, the HTC Tattoo

The HTC Tattoo uses the cupcake version of the android operating system which is the latest version of this revolutionary operating system. It is a refined handset with many useful features that make it a handy phone in many ways. It is a compact unit with powerful Qualcomm MSM 7200A 528 MHz processor at its heart which makes it responsive and effective in every way.


The camera provided with the handset is a 3.15 mega pixel camera which offers good quality imagery. The camera works at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and includes auto focus as part of its package which helps to ensure quality of picture as much as possible. Video recording and playback are a viable alternative that is provided with this handset and is useful as it is now the most common form of taking images.


The display screen is a touch screen which measures 2.8 inches and is a TFT screen. The screen offers excellent colourful imagery due to its ability to display up to 65,000 colours at a pixel size of 240 x 320 pixels. To access the multiple functions contained within the phone, the touch screen uses the competent Sense user interface. An accelerometer sensor is provided which will automatically rotate images without the need of user input.

The HSDPA and Wi-Fi connections provide internet access at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. With the additional connections of GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, Blue tooth and miniUSB, the phone can be connected to multiple devices and conduct numerous tasks. Satellite navigation is provided due to the GPS function which also comes with A-GPS support.



The HTC Tattoo comes with an MP3/MP4 player as its means of providing entertainment. The players will play all major audio and video file types and thanks to its expansive memory of 256 Mb RAM and 512 Mb ROM, provides hours of pleasurable music and video. The phone is surprisingly small considering its wealth of functionality it is 106 mm by 55 mm wide and 14 mm thick. Although compact in size. like the
HTC Touch Pro 2 , it is big on features and is a popular handset.
