Windows to your soul - Eye makeup tips

Here are some eye make up tips you can use. These are things I have learnt over years of working as a professional make up artist. I believe it is every woman's privilege to enhance her beauty by properly applying make up. Also, in my mind, eye make up is fundamental. For more such great tips check out the link below.

Foundation
The very first step for good eye makeup is having a good foundation. Applying cream concealer using a concealor brush on eye lids and under the eyes followed by applying foundation where neede only. Use a tapping motion with your finger to blend foundation and concealer. If there are no skin blemishes there may be no need for foundation.
When applying powder to area around the eyes, for reducing shine and setting the concealer, use a sponge and not a powder puff.

Eye liner
You should apply eyeliner directly after eye shadow. In order to steady your hand lean you elbow on your makeup counter / table top / chest drawers top or, at least against your thigh.

Once finished applying liner make sure you smudge it a little using either the foam rubber at the back end of the eye liner pencil (so that's what its for) or a Q-tip.
This will soften out harsher parts of the line drawn.

Mascara
Apply mascara to top lashes by holding the brush horizontally using a firm outward stroke. For the lower lashes use the tip of the mascara wand and side to side stokes

contacts
Colored contact lenses give you the chance to pick a color that complements you and wearing it from time to time. You will also find that they make your eyes look deeper. Also they don't cost so much any more.

"Damage control"
To get rid of dark circles try placing slices of potato or cucumber over each eye lid, leave for fifteen minutes. Then use concealor, then foundation and finish with dusting on compact powder to ensure blending in well of concealor.
