Peter Blue had set fire to a church and had to bring to prison. But, Calvin tried to save Peter's life by treated him in the Manor. Calvin's wife was Marie and his children are Eva, J.R, and Tot. He lived with his family.<br /> <br /> For the first he had a beautiful life, but one day he saw his wife was with the other man. And this accident changed his life. After Calvin saw that accident he always thought and wanted to ask his wife about that but he could not do that. He was not sure of whether the woman was his wife, Marie, or not. So he decided to keep that secret himself and did not tell anybody. He did not want to hurt his wife and his children.<br /> <br /> Then he passed through his day as usual, he worked, went to the Manor, treated Peter and the other patients and also loved his family. But one night, when he came back from his clinic, he had been attacked by a man. Calvin did not recognize him because there was too dark. He suspected that he was a man whom had been seen by Calvin with his wife. He told Marie about the attack, but Marie said that she was not that women who had been seen by Calvin. She also said that she did not know the man and Calvin trusted her.<br /> <br /> Although he still thought about the man, he tried to pass his day as calm as usual. He did never ask about the man to Marie anymore. He trusted and loved his wife and did not want to hurt her with this question. It happened until the other attack. This accident happened while he was going to the playground with his daughter, Tot. They were playing and then Tot run to the road and there was a car which crashed her. Calvin could not do anything, he just brought her to hospital. He knew the car was driven by a man who had attacked him first.<br /> <br /> After that accident, Calvin could not bear his temper and asked Marie about the man. However she still did not want to tell Calvin about this. Calvin could not do anything again. He confused and did not trust Marie but he loved her so much.<br /> <br /> On one morning there was a man who had been killed. He was Lester Marshall, the man who had attacked Calvin and his family. Finally Calvin knew that Marie had killed Lester and he was an ex-boyfriend of Marie. He could not tell the police about this and Peter became a boy who suspected to kill Lester. Peter also killed himself because he did not want to go to prison.<br /> <br /> Main Characters<br /> <br /> 1) Calvin Bradley : He had a bland face under thinning darkish hair. His eyes are dull brown, baggy even at the best of time. He was a psychiatrist in a health clinic-The Manor- in Highbury. He had three children and he also loved his wife-Marie- very much. 2) Marie Bradley : She was thirty-six years old. She was a good house wife who had three children. She loved her children and her husband and wanted to protect them safely. She had a bad past which never told to anybody, especially her husband-Calvin. She killed her ex-boyfriend to protect her family. 3) Peter Blue : He was nineteen years old. He was gentle, dreamy, hard-working and religious. He had set fire to the Trinity Episcopal Church. Because of that he had to be treated by Calvin in the Manor. 4) Orrin Hunnicut : He was Highbury's police chief who arrested Peter Blue. He was sixty-three years old. He had huge shoulders, massive arms, an aggressive barrel of a chest, an even more aggressive dome of belly. His wife had been died at that winter. 5) Lester Marshall : He was an ex-boyfriend of Marie in the past. He was a criminal. He had been killed by Marie by shooting him. He had ever taken to prison in Missouri, the city where he and Marie became a couple.
